When studying drums, one of the most important things to consider is versatility. As a drummer, you will need to be able to play rock, funk, jazz, metal and everything in between. Sure, there are drummers who are all rounders and others that specialise in particular genres however at Kalinda Jade Studios we want you to be able to play anything and everything. Thats why from the beginning each student will be exposed to many different styles, genres and techniques.
Our teaching artists are professional working musicians both on the stage and in the studio and have years of experience refining the practice of being a professional drummer.
Beginning students will not only focus on skills like stick control, they will also play songs from day one. All beginning- intermediate students are required to learn music theory. We ensure that it is delivered in a practical and compelling way.
More advanced students or professional musicians can expect to be taught how to refine techniques, increase stamina and gain more proficiency in complex theoretical concepts.
Each student has a specifically designed syllabus to ensure that we help youto reach your individual goals and milestones.
So whether it's Taylor Hawkins, from Foo Fighters, you have in your sights or you want to try out to be the next AC/DC drummer we have got you covered.
